EasyTierConnect (hereinafter referred to as "the App") is a virtual LAN networking tool dedicated to protecting user privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your data.

Core Principle: The App does not collect, upload, or share any of your personal data. All data is stored exclusively on your device locally.

2. Information We Collect

The App does not collect any personal information.

When you use the App, the following data is stored and processed solely on your device:

2.1 VPN Configuration Data

• The networking profiles you create (including network name, peer node addresses, network key, etc.) are saved only on your device locally and shared with the App's VPN extension (Network Extension) via iOS App Groups for establishing VPN connections.
• Configuration data may be synced across devices under the same Apple ID through iCloud Keychain.

2.2 Network Status and Traffic Data

• In-app displays such as node connection status, real-time traffic rates, and traffic trend charts are all generated locally by the EasyTier Core engine running on your device. They are rendered in the interface in real time and are never uploaded to any server.

2.3 Debug Logs

• Application runtime logs are viewable only in developer debug mode and include no reporting mechanism accessible to any third party.
• Crash information is managed by the operating system. You may choose whether to submit it to Apple via the "Share iPhone Analytics" feature.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

For clarity, the App does not engage in the following:

• Does not collect identity information such as your Apple ID, name, email, or phone number
• Does not collect your geolocation data
• Does not read or upload personal data such as contacts, photos, or files from your device
• Does not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or user behavior tracking tools
• Does not upload any data to our servers or any third-party servers
• Does not track your in-app behavior

4. Usage of Permissions

The App may request the following system permissions during use. You can manage these at any time in your device settings:

4.1 Network Extension (VPN)

• Purpose: Establishes a virtual network tunnel for device-to-device interconnectivity within a private network.
• Necessity: This is a core function of the App. Denying this permission will prevent the App from functioning.
• Data Handling: The VPN tunnel only carries traffic for your designated virtual LAN (Split Tunneling). It does not process or inspect your other network traffic.

4.2 Local Network

• Purpose: Scans the local area network to discover other EasyTier devices on the same subnet.
• Necessity: Optional permission. Denying it will not affect core networking functionality.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Local-First Storage: All configuration data and runtime data are stored on your device locally. Data will be cleared upon uninstallation.
• Encrypted Transmission: EasyTier network communication uses standard encryption protocols to protect link security.
• App Groups Isolation: Configuration sharing between the main app and VPN extension is achieved via iOS App Groups, meaning data never leaves your device.

6. Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party services that require data to be uploaded to the cloud. The App integrates the following open-source libraries at the code level:

• EasyTier Core (LGPL v3.0): Runs on your device as an independent dynamic library, responsible for networking logic; involves no external data transmission.
• Flutter (BSD-3-Clause): Cross-platform UI framework.
• Rust (MIT): Systems programming language runtime.

All of the above open-source libraries run as local code and do not include data collection functionality.

7. Your Rights

• Full Control: You may view, modify, or delete your networking profiles within the App at any time.
• Deny Permissions: You may revoke VPN or Local Network permissions in your device settings at any time.
• Data Removal: Uninstalling the App will remove all local data.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age specified by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be published within the App or through official documentation.
